Region: Loire Valley
Winery: Didier Dagueneau (Pouilly Fumé)
Grapes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Vintage: 2016
Label   Fact Sheet

Description: "From the single vineyard Buisson Menard, renamed Renard (fox in French) to get even at a wine critic who had mistakenly named it that way while criticizing Didier Dagueneau, this wine is vibrant and crisp, with firm acidity and flavors of pear, citrus and herb. Great minerality and raciness in the finish, with some hints of melon and vanilla." - JAO

Wine Spectator 95 FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
This has a rich hint, with notes of paraffin and lemon curd, but stays pure and racy, showing honeysuckle, white asparagus, flint and sel gris flavors that remain in lockstep from start to finish. Ridiculously long. Stunning. Drink now through 2027.
Jancis Robinson NA FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
Youthful fruit with a candied edge, but such clarity! Reverberant, long, multi-layered. Not overtly citric, but a mélange of fruit flavour. Simply awesome. (18/20)
