Publication Score Comments
Wine Spectator 89 FOR 2010 VINTAGE: "Quite ripe, with a plump apricot, pineapple and tangerine core and a spice tinge on the unctuous finish. A little shy on length, but shows some power. Drink now through 2018. 1,000 cases made." –JM
Jancis Robinson NA FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE : 16.5/20 (Superior +)
Correct and rather attractively burnished. Very forward and slightly brûlée but an easy Sauternes for early drinking
The Wine Advocate NA FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
The Château Les Justices 2014 has the same level of residual sugar as the Château Latrezotte '14 (112 grams per liter) but I feel this is a superior wine, perhaps the best that I have tasted at this early stage. It is a blend of 90% Sémillon with 8% Sauvignon Bland and 2% Muscadelle and is bestowed with a clean and pure bouquet, quite refined and elegant with honey and dried pineapple scents. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, a slightly waxiness to the texture here but nicely controlled and then vivacious towards the finish. There is a nascent energy to this Sauternes, a great wine from Julie Gonet and her team. 91-93pts
Wine Spectator NA FOR THE 2011 VINTAGE
A bright, fresh, forward style, with pineapple, green apple and melon notes backed by a light almond edge on the open-knit finish. Drink now through 2020. 1,500 cases made.
