Wine Enthusiast 94 FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
Bougros is one of the richest, opulent of the Grand Cru Chablis. In this fruitdriven year, the wine is wonderfully spicy, rich and full of fine fruit. Yellow fruits dominate the balancing citrus and wood flavors. It is so forward that it could be drunk now, but this fine wine will be much better from 2019

(done entirely in concrete eggs, which winemaker Odile Van der Moere says provides a natural batonnage to enrich the wine, which "was a little too fine at the beginning"): Bright light yellow. Very ripe aromas of peach oil and menthol, along with smoke and toasty nuances from the lees (and the Kimmeridgian soil). In a very rich style but with sound supporting acidity. A wine of sizable dimension but reserved today, with a brisk finish featuring dusty minerality and lingering spices. Incidentally, the Brocards decided not to bottle a 2015 Clos due to the hail. Wine Spectator 90 FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
Though round and approachable, there is a good underlying structure here, corralling the peach, apple, honey and stone flavors. Shows fine balance and length. Drink now through 2023. 500 cases made.

A salty nudge in this ripe wine gives a tangy edge to the rich apricot and spice flavors. Warm and generous, it keeps an edgy acidity that shows its aging potential. Still tight while fruity, the wine that comes from the westernmost of the grand crus will be ready to drink from 2022.
