Vinous - Antonio Galloni NA FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
Lurid violet. Ripe cherry and black raspberry on the nose, along with hints of violet and cracked pepper. Concentrated and lively as well, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors that pick up a hint of smokiness on the back half. A licorice candy nuance appears on the clinging finish, which is given shape by smooth tannins. (91-92 POINTS)
The Wine Advocate NA FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
Graillot's 2016 Crozes Hermitage (tasted from tank) will be bottled at the end of January. It's floral and stemmy, with dark berry fruit and some tea-like notes on the silky finish. This medium to full-bodied wine should be almost ready to drink upon release and drink well for up to a decade. (91-93)
Wine Spectator 92 FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
A light coating of mocha allows dark cherry and plum compote flavors to glide through center stage while gentle black tea and sandalwood notes fill in on the finish. Alluring. Drink now through 2022. 6,500 cases made.
Wine Spectator 91 FOR THE 2017 VINTAGE
A fresh and focused style, with violet, white pepper, cassis and pastis notes streaming through, carried by a solid graphite edge through the finish. Drink now through 2027. 6,500 cases made, 600 cases imported.
